Accessible to all, the EuroVelo 6 is part of a European route that goes from the Atlantic to the Black Sea. It has been developed and secured, thus offering an attractive variety of landscapes.
The Belvedere du Dard: Hike
A countryside excursion offering panoramas of the valley as well as the discovery of the rich local heritage and local products.
This hike starting from Sancey will take you through the village of Sancey, the result of the merger of two municipalities that have experienced many conflicts due to wars and their geographical location. Afterwards, explore the meadows and forest trails to reach the first viewpoint offering a view over the valley. Along the way, you will encounter a farm where you can stock up on local products before continuing to the second viewpoint, and then back to the village centre.
The Babre Slot: Route
A family outing through the woods and along the Doubs river, leading to a viewpoint over the valley and the town of Baume-les-Dames.
This route invites you to discover the history of Baume-les-Dames by crossing the Ropp pipe district, with its former manufacturing factory. A walk on the ridge trails, in the shade of the forest, will lead you to the Babre slot, offering a panoramic view of the city, the countryside and the Doubs valley. On the return trip, along the towpath, you will have the opportunity to observe the fauna and flora that benefit from the coolness of the river.
Le Peu and Les Bougeottes: Hike
This hike, lasting 4h30 with little elevation, and also located about twenty kilometers from the cottage offers the opportunity to discover the Bougeottes cave as well as the two magnificent Peu viewpoints, located in the municipality of Laviron. The route follows forest paths and crosses pastures. The circuit is marked in yellow and blue according to the official marking standards.
The Roches de Nans: Walk
A discovery walk starting from Nans, combining heritage, culture, panoramas and natural landscapes of the Doubs: this excursion will suit all types of public.
A route offering a diversity of landscapes, between viewpoints, heritage and typical villages of central Doubs. Cliffs, ridges and forest paths will punctuate the walk, and numerous viewpoints will allow you to admire the Ognon valley, the village of Nans and the Rougemont plain. Heritage enthusiasts will be delighted with the presence of castles, fortresses and citadels. The terroir is also highlighted with the presence of farms and winegrowers’ houses.
